🎮 Game Commands

/trivia

Parameters: questions (10–200, default 10), category (optional)

Start a TriviaForge game in the current channel. Pick a number of questions and optionally a category.

Examples:
/trivia — quick 10 question game, all categories
/trivia questions:50 category:science — 50 question science game
/trivia category:server — play your server's custom questions (Premium)

/vote

Parameters: questions (10–200, default 10)

The bot picks 3 random categories and the server votes which one to play. Voting closes after 30 seconds and the winner is played.

Example: /vote questions:25

/challenge

Parameters: opponent, questions (10–50, default 10), category (optional)

Challenge another user to a 1v1 trivia match. They have 60 seconds to Accept or Decline. If accepted, only the two of you can answer — everyone else watches. The player with more points at the end wins.

Example: /challenge opponent:@friend questions:20 category:science

/lastman

Parameters: questions (5–50, default 10), category (optional)

Last One Standing mode! The bot won't move to the next question until someone answers correctly. After both hints have been shown, the question stays up indefinitely — keep guessing until you get it right (1 point).

Example: /lastman questions:20 category:history

/autoplay Admin

Toggle continuous trivia in the current channel. When enabled, games restart automatically with a random number of questions (20–75) after each one ends.

/threads Admin

Toggle thread mode for the current channel. When enabled, every new game starts in its own auto-archived Discord thread, keeping the main channel clean. Each game gets its own scrollback you can revisit later.

/setchannel & /clearchannel Admin

/setchannel locks trivia to the current channel — members can only start games there (run it in a regular text channel, not a thread). /clearchannel removes the lock so games can be started in any channel again.

/schedule Admin Premium

Parameters: day, hour, minute, timezone, questions, category (optional)

Set up a recurring weekly trivia game. The bot will automatically start a game in the current channel at the day and time you choose, in your selected timezone. Up to 3 schedules per server.

Example: Schedule a Friday 8:00 PM Eastern game with 50 questions for trivia night.

/schedules

View all scheduled trivia games on this server.

/unschedule Admin

Parameters: schedule_id

Remove a scheduled game by its ID. Get IDs from /schedules.

/categories

List all available trivia categories, including any custom server categories.

/packs

List the TriviaForge premium question packs available to this server. Shows which packs you already own and which are available to buy (with pricing), plus a link to grab more from the Dashboard.

Tip: Play an owned pack with /trivia category:<pack name>.

/pause & /resume

Pause or resume an active game. Only the player who started the game can pause/resume it.

/stop

End the current game early. Only the game starter or a server admin can stop a game.

/scores

Show the current scores in the active game.

/report

❓ FAQ

How does scoring work?

Standard questions award 5 points if you answer with no hints, 3 points after the first hint, and 1 point after the second hint. Crazy Rounds (every 10th question) award 1 point per correct answer with multiple answers possible.

What are Crazy Rounds?

Every 10th question is a Crazy Round — questions with multiple correct answers. You have 45 seconds to shout out as many as you can. 1 point per correct answer.

How do hints work?

Each question gives you 15 seconds with no hints, then 15 seconds with hint 1, then 15 seconds with hint 2 before time runs out.

How do I rate a question?

Each question message has 👍 and 👎 reactions. Click either one to rate the question. Your votes help us identify great questions and weed out bad ones. One rating per user per question; clicking a different reaction overwrites your previous vote.

How do I add custom questions for my server?

Premium servers can add up to 2000 custom questions via the Dashboard. Custom questions can be played with /trivia category:server.

How do I submit a question to the global pool?
